Michael Sharkey is a documentary producer based in New York City and Philadelphia. Her work has appeared on networks such as Netflix, CNN, ESPN+, Discovery, Nickelodeon, and more. She has worked for several award-winning production companies, including Higher Ground Productions, Concordia Studio, RadicalMedia, Jigsaw Productions, Part2 Pictures, and Discovery Studios.

 

An avid learner with an insatiable curiosity, Michael considers telling stories in pursuit of truth and the human experience to be an immense privilege. Her work has enabled her to explore a breadth of topics, from the importance of shark conservation to the frontier of athletic achievement; from the injustice of capital punishment to the rise of K-pop around the globe. While Michael's ultimate goal is to create films about the climate crisis and conservation of the natural world, she never knows where the next project will take her and is always looking forward to the next adventure.
